Commercial
An ongoing focus of mine, this is some of my work in the automotive scene carrying out filming as well as grading and editing.
I aim to produce content for a variety of social media platforms and eventually in a cinematic context.
My automotive videography work has focused on developing end-to-end content production skills, from filming through to post-production, with a strong emphasis on creating content tailored for both cinematic film work and social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram. I’ve worked on short-form social media pieces, and for projects such as my final project at university, I'm leaning more towards commercial ended and film ended work. I shoot using the Panasonic Lumix S1H alongside the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 and DJI Osmo Pocket 4, which has allowed me to experiment with both high end cinematic shooting. This has helped me to expand and development my skills in the automotive content pipeline, as I've been improving my videography work alongside my experience in post production editing. As a result, my understanding of filming and the impact that the decisions I make on camera will affect the editing and final delivery. One of the main factors in this growth has been transitioning my post production workflow into DaVinci Resolve, particularly around colour work. As someone who's spent most of his editing hours on Adobe After effects and Premiere, learning Resolve has been a steep but extremely valuable learning curve, especially around node based colour grading. This has helped me to strengthen my understanding of colour as a storytelling and branding tool immensely. My final project explored filming cars from both commercial and documentary angles, creating high level content while also experimenting with more narrative filmmaking. This is still a work in progress and I will be updating as I produce more work on this end.
